In keeping with its wish to honour the legacies of Nelson Mandela and those giants of activism from the L8 community upon whose shoulders Mandela8 stands, a murals programme has been initiated. Working in collaboration with artist Jon Culshaw, three murals have been completed to date – honouring Mandela, on the Kuumba Imani building, Howard Gayle on Upper Warwick Street, and Leroy Cooper on the gable of the old Granby Street School.
