Thanks to the Mayoral Neighbourhood Fund, the project was delivered successfully in partnership with GTDT, providing emergency food parcels, hygiene packs and art packs to our most vulnerable and elderly in our communities.
The overall project delivered:
– 14,074 food and hygiene packs distributed.
– 2,000 activity packs for young people.
– 52 tablets and connectivity. Also digital skills support.
– 70 slow cookers and vegetable bags for 6 weeks. Also cooking with slow cookers course.
Mandela8’s recent successful Spacehive Crowdfunding campaign will allow more packs to be delivered and we are also in the midst of setting up a Food Pantry as a long-term solution for the community.
